"Golden Parachute" -- David Caruso, Kim Delaney, Emily Procter, Rory Cochrane, Adam Rodriguez and Khandi Alexander star in the new drama series CSI: MIAMI, a fast-paced drama inspired by the top-rated series, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," revolves around a team of forensic investigators who use both cutting-edge scientific methods and old-fashioned police work to solve crimes. Joe Chappelle directed the episode written by Steve Maeda. Scenes were shot on location in Miami. Horatio Caine (David Caruso), a former homicide detective, heads a group of investigators who work crimes amid the steamy, tropical surroundings and cultural crossroads of Miami. Megan Donner (Kim Delaney), a DNA specialist and the former head of the unit, returns to Horatio's team, challenging his gut instinct with her trust in science. His team includes Calleigh Dusquene (Emily Procter), a bilingual Southern beauty with a specialty in ballistics; Tim Speedle (Rory Cochrane), a thingyy yet disarming investigator who is well connected on the street, and Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez), an underwater recovery expert who knows all the twists and turns of the Florida waterways. Rounding out the team is Alexx Woods (Khandi Alexander), the no-nonsense, know-it-all coroner. Together, these investigators collect and analyze the evidence to solve the crimes and to vindicate those who often cannot speak for themselves -- the victims. In the premiere episode, Megan Donner returns to the CSI unit in time to work on a jet crash in the Everglades. While searching for survivors, they inexplicably discover a female victim found five miles from the crash site. Joe Chappelle directed the episode written by Sunil Nayar, one of the series' co-executive producers.

To make matters worse, Horatio's nephew, Ray Jr., is working as a drug mule for Riaz, smuggling drugs into the U.S. Now, with the stakes set high, Horatio must catch Riaz before he takes the life of another member of Horatio's team

Inspired by the top-rated series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," CSI: MIAMI is a fast-paced drama that follows a South Florida team of forensic investigators who use both cutting-edge scientific methods and old-fashioned police work to solve crimes. Horatio Caine, a former homicide detective, heads a group of investigators who work crimes amid the steamy tropical surroundings and cultural crossroads of Miami. His team includes Calleigh Duquesne, a bilingual Southern beauty with a specialty in ballistics; Eric Delko, an underwater recovery expert who knows all the twists and turns of the Florida waterways and Ryan Wolfe, who after joining the department two years ago, still hasn't found his place within the team. Rounding out the team is Alexx Woods, the no-nonsense know-it-all coroner and Natalia Boa Vista, the enigmatic 'grant girl' and DNA specialist assigned to solving cold cases. Helping Horatio with cases is Det. Frank Tripp, a tough, yet thorough police officer. Together, these investigators collect and analyze the evidence to solve the crimes and to avenge those who cannot speak for themselves, the victims.
