Episode Synopsis
Things get personal for the CSIs in the top-rated series' third-season finale, which explores the intersection of the investigators' work and their personal lives. Three masked bandits steal a safe-deposit box from a Las Vegas bank in a daring daytime heist, during which Det. Lockwood (Jeffrey D. Sams) is killed. Lockwood's death provides Grissom and his crew with added incentive to find the murderous culprits. But the case really hits home for Catherine when the evidence leads to casino owner Sam Braun (Scott Wilson), who is like a father to her. Also, Grissom's hearing gets progressively worse and he seeks out Dr. Robbins for help.

Catherine did ask to be reclused from the case but Grissom wouldn't let her. She has great instincts, which is why she compared her dna to the unknown blood. She's brilliant.

Catherine get upclose and personal with cases, Shortest distance between two points: for grissom it's science and for cath it's pounding the pavement(pledging Mr. johnson) I cried with cath when she found out that sam was her father, and laughed when Gris

i just loved this episode....i felt so bad for cath when she went to Sam and started crying...aww but it was so sweet how she was there for Grissom before he went into surgery and she hugged him....they should get 2gether!!

Wow is all i could say at the beginning. The robbery was some splendid work, the actualy event and the investigation. Being a ballistics guy I had to know who was the sniper that killed Lockwood. God I can't hate Sam Braun enough. And Grissom off to surge

Lockwood got killed, Cath started crying at the end. Gregs hands were shaking because of the lab explosion, i was just like, awww. And It was sweet though, the way Cath was there for Grissom just before his surgery.
