This must be my favorite episode. CSI must be the best written show on tv and one of the best lines is in this episode. Dr. Susan is being questioned by Grissom and she says something like, "most people think when they die they see a light and go to it,

Several times, I have missed the name of the disease that Dr. Hilleredge has? Can anyone tell me?
Grissom says something like 'disease of the vampre" but what was the clinical name?
Thanks!

The dieease is called Porphyria. I liked the episode because it tells about an unique disease though the storyline has many holes.

I think that the disease was called Morpheria but I can't find any reference to that. Which king supposedly had it?

I was hurt & outraged by this episode! I have this rare disease porphyria. To say the facts were distorted here is an understatment! People with this disease do not eat liver or even drink blood; it breaks my heart and spirit that the writers of this show

i loved it cause it's controversial, like what do you do with the woman when she's freakin sick..? i loved when they showed what she would have looked like if she wasn't drinking blood :)

The episode was good for the case with the woman and her odd "condition". Sortof real life vampirism which intrerested me but the other case with the little girl was upsetting.

The best chapter of the first season, I love the performance of Marg Helgenberger, and how she shows her emotions because of the little girl's death. Also, the story of the woman that eats humans is so twisted that I love it too. GREAT!!!!

Great episode. The nutrionist girl is really crazy, and not normal. Catherine's case is interesting too, and the mother is so sick to have killed her own daughter.

That nutritionist girl is disgusting! And she is so blase about the whole think. And once again Catherine is great! That girl's mother was really sick and pathetic.

Cath was out of line assuming that the dirtbag owner was guilty and going after him like a pitbull. I had no love for the guy but what if you had sosme cop coming after you for something you didn't do?

The guy that Catherine kissed was the maintenance type guy in a previous episode when a house collapsed killing 3 elderly ladies, $35K O.B.O was the title.
