Episode Synopsis
Gil Grissom is the supervisor of the graveyard shift of Las Vegas' elite crime scene investigators.
Grissom investigates a suicide that presents little evidence. A tape recording of the man's suicide note is put in to doubt when is mother insists that it's not his voice.
Warrick and Catherine investigate the shooting of a man during a break-in. Warrick is also assigned to shadowing newcomer Holly Gribbs during a routine fingerprint dust, something he is not too keen on doing.
Nick talks to a man who was drugged and robbed by a prostitute. He also visits the scene of a car crash where the same woman has passed out at the wheel of her car.

I liked it but it was pretty sad when Holly was shot, but you couldn't really be so sad because you didn't know the character very well, now if Grissom or Sara died than that would have more effect

Love it. Love Grissom's name for the DBs, too. Heehee. Felt bad that Holly was killed but it made room for a slightly more interesting character. LOVE the Millander case, definitely a fave!

Great episode. But I videoed it, and only got 1 hour of it. All that was left was the suicide case, where the mother insisted it wasn't his voice.

The pilot episode is, in my opinion, the 2nd best episode. I liked the part when Holly went into the morgue and saw all of the bodies. I thout it was funny when Grissom yelled, "You assholes." To the DBs. Bottom line, great start!!!

Great start for the show. Poor Holly though...the show would be so much better if Holly never got killed off and Sara never came to Las Vegas. Love the convenience store scene with Catherine.

Awesome pilot. The drama, and the non stop action just increases the effect of the pilot. It's a shame that Holly Gribbs gets shot, and that she eventually dies. A brief brush with Mr. Millander eh.

gr8 start to d show and we get to see how the characters all came together. poor holly - though we didnt really get to know her well, u have to feel sorry for her. although we got sara instead - so it all ended well :)

I loved this episode. Great start to a season, but a pretty shocking ending. Definatly felt sorry for Warrick, and Brass was quite harsh to Holly too.
