Gerald began his career in musical theatre, training in the BFA program at Florida State University and performing at Six Flags over Georgia. He then went on to perform lead roles in GREASE (Danny Zuko), ONCE UPON A MATTRESS (Dauntless), 110 IN THE SHADE (Jimmy), and 1940’s RADIO HOUR (B.J. Gibson) in regional theatres throughout the south as well as the Atlanta hit musical DIFFERENT. He then moved to NY landing leading roles in a handful of Off-Broadway flops before touring Europe as “Jesus” in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. After being directed by Robert Redford in Quiz Show (which ended up being no more than an extra walking by the camera in the restaurant scene), work as a singer brought him to LA. Throughout his career he has engendered a prolific commercial acting career becoming one of America's top commercial actors.
Gerald currently plays “Bobby Dawson” on the CBS hit show CSI and was a recurring guest host on FYE! on E! TV airing in nearly 500 million homes worldwide. He was a guest on Dr. Hala Sarahn’s internationally renowned talk show, filmed in Egypt, where he performed the theme song from his award-winning film The Moment After. He’s also had recurring roles on the hit Spelling shows Melrose Place and Beverly Hills 90210. Other television appearances include the Emmy nominated TNT movie of the week Pirates of Silicon Valley starring Noah Wiley and Anthony Michael Hall for which he received a mention in the Daily Variety, 7th Heaven, Chicago Hope, Leaving LA, In the Heat of the Night, and brief stints on the daytime soap operas All My Children, One Life to Live and Port Charles. He appears in the critically acclaimed film Auggie Rose with Jeff Goldblum and Anne Heche and the new Temi Lopez (Chain of Desire) project Home: the Horror Story starring Richard Beymer and Grace Zabriskie. Other film credits include two independents Alternate Route and Smut, along with his award-winning short film, The Moment After, which he also wrote and directed.
